Its Official! We Have a Date!

About two weeks ago I sent in a deposit and our wedding application to First Presbyterian Church in downtown Wilmington. This included a written application and a letter of recommendation from my church in Greensboro. The tricky thing about getting married there was that all the staff had to approve the application AND we only had four months out of the year to choose from; January, February, March, and August. Since we got engaged in December our only choices were August 2012 and January 2013. We may be getting married young but we definitely did not want to get married in over a year. 8 months was more of what we wanted! We waited and waited for the recommendation letter to get to the church and then for the staff to approve. I got a little anxious (we do have a lot of planning to do!) so I called the church to check on the status of our application. The lady was so sweet on the phone, double checked on one last person, and told me we were good to go! WE OFFICIALLY HAVE A DATE TO GET MARRIED! August 18, 2012! I hung up with the wedding coordinator and called Tim at work to give him the great news! He was so happy I interrupted him :-) Save the Date everyone we're tying the knot! We're so excited to continue in the planning! Pray we don't get too stressed!
